Meaningbit In-Person Workshop Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions. By purchasing a ticket, you, the customer ("You") are agreeing to them. Abiding by these Terms and Conditions is a condition of your participation in the workshops.
We are Meaningbit LTD ("We or Us"). Our registered office is Werks Central, 15-17 Middle Street, Brighton, BN1 1AL, United Kingdom. Our Company Number is 10803045.
We’ll always do our best to meet your needs and expectations. This document is to make sure both parties are clear on their rights and responsibilities. It covers who should do what and when, and what will happen if something goes wrong.
What you are hiring us for
We will deliver a workshop or series of workshops in-person. The content of the workshop or workshops is described on the signup page.
What we agree to
You: You have the authority to enter into this contract on behalf of yourself, your company or your organisation.
Us: We have the experience and ability to do everything we’ve agreed with you and we’ll do it all in a professional and timely manner.
Pricing and payment
The pricing of a ticket is as described in the workshop description. Payment is in advance of workshop attendance.
Confidentiality and privacy
You: You agree to treat any information shared with you by other workshops participants as confidential unless you have their express permission to share it. You agree that we may record take video, and/or take photographs of sessions for training and marketing purposes.
Us: We will treat any information you share with us during workshops as confidential unless we have your express permission to share it.
You will not harass, intimidate or otherwise cause distress to workshop participants or providers. You will not behave so that the benefit and enjoyment of workshops for other participants is reduced.
Attendance, cancellations and refunds
Your ticket purchase is for one person to attend the workshop. The workshop will be delivered on the date or dates as stated in the workshop description. We will meet at the location and time in the workshop description. If you do not attend the workshop no refund will be offered.
To cancel the workshop please contact email@example.com.
- More than fourteen days notice - Entitled to a full refund.
- Less than fourteen days but more than forty eight hours notice - Entitled to a 50% refund.
- Less that forty eight hours notice - No refund will be offered.
We will advise you of any technical requirements for the workshop in the workshop description. You are responsible for meeting these requirements.
We are not responsible for any technical problems you experience with your software, device or internet connection.
In the event that technical problems with our software, devices or internet connection prevent the workshop from going ahead we will attempt to reschedule at a time convenient to all participants. If you cannot attend a rescheduled workshop you will be entitled to a full refund if a single workshop or a partial refund if the workshop is part of a series.
We will provide a suitable venue for the workshop to take place. Exact services and access are dependent on the venue. Please advise us of any access or other disability requirements in advance of the workshop.
The workshop contents, materials and media remain the copyright of Meaningbit LTD. You may not share materials with others except where granted by license (e.g. Creative Commons licensed content). You will not record any part of the workshop without express permission from the course provider.
Feedback and references
We may ask for feedback on any services provided. Please provide any other feedback you see fit to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Unless you explicitly tell us not to we may use your name and likeness, and your company name and logo in future marketing materials. We may also ask for references for previously conducted work.
We want you to be satisfied with your workshop experience. All of our workshops are offered with a money-back guarantee. If having attended and participated in a workshop you are not satisfied we offer a refund for that workshop.
To claim a refund please contact email@example.com no later than seven days from the date of the workshop. Please include the following information:
- The name of the workshop attendee
- The name of the workshop
- The date and time of the workshop
- How the workshop failed to meet your expectations
We will try and put things right for you. If that is not possible we will issue a refund.
This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
Limitation of liability
We can’t guarantee that our work will be error-free. We are not liable to you or any third-party for damages, or loss, including lost profits or revenue, goodwill, or business interruption. This applies even if you’ve advised us of them.
The content of our workshops do not constitute legal or professional advice. They are for training and education purposes only. We accept no responsibility for any loss arising from the use of material in our workshops.
If any provision of this contract shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this contract and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
Neither of us can transfer this contract to anyone else without the other’s permission.
We both agree that we’ll adhere to all relevant laws and regulations in relation to our activities under this contract and not cause the other to breach any relevant laws or regulations. This contract is a legal document under exclusive jurisdiction of English and Welsh courts.
